Question by ronaldinhowc: whats the best and most durable wood to use to make a skateboard ramp? For example a manual pad or box?
I am looking for the name of the wood or it may not even be wood. I have seen it on several ramps is a smooth thin wood.

Just to go Home Depot, Ace or Lowes and get some plywood, the thicker the better. The ramp armor you’re talking about is pretty expensive and is sometimes too slippery. You can buy plywood that’s smooth enough to skate well on. Plywood will definitely work great. Just remember to put support beams under the top sheet to keep it from sagging and breaking.

Question by Sandra: Craigslist question about items not showing up.
I listed my son’s skateboard ramp for sale last night on Craigslist (milwaukee) under sporting goods and it’s not showing up. I listed it again this morning and no new sporting goods itms are showing up for this date. However, if I go to do a search for Skateboard Ramp it then appears. Is something wrong with craigslist, my computer or what? Should I try re-listing it a different way? My son really wants to sell this.

Sounds to me like there is a problems with the feeds on craigslist. I would give it a few and check back to see if it showed. Especially since it shows in the search function. If not, maybe try a different section on CL??

Break the problem down into its component parts:
Essentially, you want to make a right angled triangle with a height of 5ft and a hypotenuse of 8ft, so you take pythagoras:

8^2 = 5^2 + x^2
and solve for x
