I just started a skateboard ramp making business in Rhode Island called www.RIRamp.com. I made the website, advertised on Craigslist and Facebook, posted flyers at local skateparks, ordered business cards, and I even got in touch with a local skate shop where the owner is a pro skater. BUT, I still haven’t received any orders for any ramps!! It’s really pissing me off. I Don’t worry I’m not giving up, but can anyone give me some more tips on what I should do?

Hey there, please don’t’ shoot the messenger here. I hope you have gotten some good liability insurance. As the minute someone get hurt they will claim the ramp did not have adequate warnings. I don’t mean to add to your problems, but you need to think about it. good luck

My son is 8 years old and wants a new skateboard for Christmas. He has been riding one that we bought at a garage sale two years ago. He wants something a little bit “cooler” now and I do not know what is cooler.
Some background;
He is okay, but he wants to learn tricks, skate on ramps, etc.
I want to buy him all new accessories, also. (shoes, helmet, pads… whatever he needs to be safe).
I do not want to spend over $ 200.00 everything. (is that possible?)

ok, so me and my dad are thinking of building a mini ramp for skateboarding, and i was wondering what material/paint would be be for layering it. We live in connecticut, so it would be exposed to rain/snow, though it would probably be covered in tarp in winter. What material and paint should i use to protect it, how much should be used, where can i buy it and how much will it cost?
