Question by ronaldinhowc: whats the best and most durable wood to use to make a skateboard ramp? For example a manual pad or box?
I am looking for the name of the wood or it may not even be wood. I have seen it on several ramps is a smooth thin wood.

Just to go Home Depot, Ace or Lowes and get some plywood, the thicker the better. The ramp armor you’re talking about is pretty expensive and is sometimes too slippery. You can buy plywood that’s smooth enough to skate well on. Plywood will definitely work great. Just remember to put support beams under the top sheet to keep it from sagging and breaking.

The camera was just sitting on the stairs and nobody actually touched it to make it move like that. A scorched 2×4 with nails sticking out was thrown over 100 feet and almost hit me in the head which would have likely killed me. The remains of the ramp were found even further than a block away from the explosion place. The boom was heard over a mile from the explosion place. The explosion left a huge black mark on the street that will be there for a very long time. We never found the coping, its gotta be somewhere though. Somehow nothing was damaged and nobody was hurt. I had absolutely no idea it would explode like that and all of my neighbors were pissed and the police came and I luckily was not cited for it.
